Seiko cal. 6106A, winding stem
Hello folks,
I am in need of a winding stem for Seiko cal. 6106A (6106-6000), automatic wristwatch, 25 jewels. The correct part number is #354617, but I cannot find one. Can I use part #354615? Will this work? If anyone does have #354617, or a crown to fit same, please let me know. Thanks,
Pete

Hi Peter,

My interchangeability book (1978) says that the correct stem for your watch should be 354615, not 354617. The 354617 stem fits only 6105B, 6139B, 6109A and 6118A.

The stem for your watch, 6106A 25j (354615), is also used on calibers:

61A 17j and 21j
6102A 17j and 21j
6105A 17j
6106A 17j and 25j
6106B 17j and 25j
6106C 17j, 21j and 25j
6117A 17j
6119B 21j
6119C 21j
6139A 17j and 21j
6145A 25j
6146A 25j

Hopefully, you have a scrap watch of one of the above. I checked my stock and, unfortunately, I don't have any.

I suppose you could try a 354617 to see if it will work but, of course, the real problem is finding one.

Hope that helps a little bit.

Tim.

Thanks Tim, I stand corrected. I don't have my Seiko tech sheets with me here at the moment. If anyone has the stem #354615, please let me know. I don't want to buy a partial movement yet; I am doing this repair for a customer, and I'm trying to minimize cost. I have to recheck Dashto, but I think he has the stem listed in his materials section...
thanks again,
Pete
