Bad Hairspring Day...... "Click" to Login or Register

Good morning:

I am hoping that someone can help me find a new hairspring for a Waltham Bartlett Model 1883 #16,011,408–18s–17J–OF. The hairspring is broken from the piece (stub?) that slips into the balance cock. I know that many things will effect the arc of swing (strength, length, etc...), and therefore timing of the watch. How can I make sure that I have an appropriate replacement and where would I look for one?

Thank you....again....
