Cleaning hands
What do you use to clean your watch hands?
Some have oil and grit on them, especially around and on the pipes. What do you use that will not harm the blueing?

Edward: When the hands are dirty, I put them in the cleaner (either untrasonic or mechanical) with the rest of the watch. I use the #111 ammoniated cleaner. Never hurt the bluing. When there is rust on them, I first try to clean it off with some rodico. If the rust is really bad, I very gently rub it off with a litle cratex. If it looks like it will remove bluing, I use clenzoil.

Mark,
Thanks for the tips. You are the first I have heard of that runs the hands through the cleaners with the rest of the watch parts. I will have to give it a try.
I use clenzoil on my guns, great stuff!

I run dirty hands in my ultrasonic too, I have never had a problem doing this.

I also use clenzoil to wipe down all my collets, fixtures, tools, accessories, everything.
