Okay, the next one will be a little tougher. Sixteen out of eighteen participants got this one correct! It is the 4th wheel. POTANCE/POTENCE - Houses the lower balance jewels on most, if not all, full plate, 18s movements. 3RD WHEEL - Interfaces between the 4th Wheel and Center/2nd Wheel. CROWN WHEEL - Interfaces between the winding pinion and ratchet wheel. CANNON PINION - Fitted to the center wheel arbor and drives the minute wheel. Minute hand is fitted to the top end. John D.
