Anyone have any old New York Standard stuff laying around? Mine is in need of some serious repair and I'd think for once- a parts movement may make sense. Balance staff is soldered on- looks like someone repivoted one end-crude and then to increase end shake-there is a huge gouge on the back of balance cock. Anyone ever deal with a silver soldered staff before? Should I cut the rivet or whole staff and then attempt repivoting? Can it be driven out with a staking set or is heat in order with the soldering...???? michael | |||
