Lathe motor "Click" to Login or Register
posted
My antique Boley lathe motor has given up the ghost, necessitating repair or replacement. It is very old and I am at a loss to properly describe what I've got - no name plate or other data. All that can be said for sure is that the unit is AC (operating off household current) and is reversible.

Can anyone give me a quick education on just what I need and where it might be available; also if it is feasible to repair such a motor, and where; I have been into mine and it obviously needs a thorough going over; at very least cleaning, reinsulation, rewiring, undercutting of mica, general adjustment, etc.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards ...

Henry
