Donald NicolaiHamilton 16S watch hands
Good morning all,
Are the hands of the 992 and 992B interchangeable ??
Thanks, Don

Donald NicolaiIn further digging to find answers, I am finding that although hands may be interchangeable, they may have to be "fitted" to the new watch. If this is the case, what are the proper tools use.
This is all new to me. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Don

Kevin HoffmanHi Donald , The tools used to fit hands are a hand gauge , to measure , broaches/files to enlarge holes , a hand vise to hold them , it has holes in it to broach thru and a staking set to close holes . I was about to post this when I remembered a helping hands tutorial , it covers fitting and how not to damage anything , here is a link and for tools check out R/N or Dave's watch parts . If your only doing a set it is easier to get the right one's in my opinion

Donald NicolaiKevin,
Great information and very thorough. Pretty much answered all my questions.
Your last sentence mentioned "if doing only one set it is easier to get the right one".
Did you mean that hands that are made for a particular watch will fit without any altering ??
In other words buy 992 hands for a 992 watch, if I understand you correctly.
Anyway, thanks for all your help Kevin. I really appreciate it.
