I need a cannon pinion for double gears to fit a South Bend grade 343.

Does anyone know if the cannon pinion from other South Bend or Columbus grades will fit?

Any of the Model 1 18s South Bends should be interchangable. If you have troubles finding one, let me know and I will dig one up.

Jared: Thanks! I don't have any South Bend size 18 parts watches. I have sizes O, 12, and 16 parts watches.

Do you think parts from a size 18 Columbus will also fit?

If you can find one I would be grateful. Let me know the cost and I will get payment pronto to you.

I did some checking on the columbus 18 Size. It looks to be the same dimensions all around. If you do try a columbus, make sure it's snug on the pinion, but not too tight. Too loose and the hands won't turn, too tight and the gears will bind and stop. There were even minor differences in the South Bend canon pinions I had.

Thanks, I will take my columbus parts watch apart and see if it is the same.
