Have this really nice case that the winding stem won't stay in pendant.Stem has no sleeve nor does the case have threads in the pendant neck.How does this work?

From the looks of the stem the case held something like an early Hamilton with a lock in stem. Or a Waltham...

You can see the extra screw up by the pendant on this Waltham. The screw locks into the funky slot down by the tip of the stem you have pictured

Yes,Jon it had a 7 jewel Waltham in it but the stem would simply pull out of the movt.I could wind it but could not set it and turning the locking screw seemed to have no effect although it will loosen and tighten well.Was wondering what would it take to make this a functional case.

I have a positive pendant set early Hamilton that would just love to have a case like that!
The finger that locks into the stem is likely broken off in the movement.

Nice case and hard to find!
