Ged,
A little more information is requiered. What type of case {screw back etc.} A picture would be most helpful. It is important to know what type of case because of the differant types of stem configurations. There are two main types solid and split stem.In this case we must know what we are dealing with. If it is a snap back it is easy if it is a water resintant type it may have a split stem and and come out from the front after removing the crystal. If you could post a picture front and back I will be happy to tell you how.

Wrist watches like this could have any number of ways to remove the movement. Some of them do not have a removable back and require a crystal lift to take off the plastic crystal and then remove the movement from the front. In this case, the winding stem may be the water resistant type which slides or snaps together. If you could provide a little more information regarding the watch someone may have some more specific instructions regarding the removal of the stem.

Best regards,
Greg
