"Chronograph" Parts "Click" to Login or Register

I just won this lot of bits on e-bay. Why? Maybe a future project... big project! I'm not sure on a couple of the items in the lot. The unfamiliar items are numbered. I believe not all these parts came together and I can't find anything on Hawley Strand? Any clues?

here is the auction page for some close ups.

2 and 3 look to be mainsprings but why two different size?

So it's not a chronograph! 1 is not part of this movement! 2 and 4 are the mainspring and fusee. 3 is a spare geared mainspring (also not from this watch!). Thanks to John Woolsey's help I know it was made by one of the following Hawley English watchmakers.

Frederic - 1863,
John - 1844 - 51,
John & Charles - 1828 - 39
Thomas & Co - 1828 - 39.

John looked up Hawley in Two different books. The list is from book one and contains no adresses. In book two Thomas & Co was listed with address on Strand St! So John is leaning towards Thomas Hawley! Now if I only had the rest of the movement!
