David P. SimpsonIllinois pocket watch dial ID
Hi everyone in ihc185 land. I hope everyone is doing great! I need help to ID these Illinois pocket watch dials. I had bought them in the past before realizing that depending on the position of the feet on back of the dial that they fit different movements I have an Illinois "Transit" 19 Jewel movement and I need a dial. Neither of these dials fit my Mod. 9 movement. Can someone tell me which movements these dials will fit? Thanks for any help! PS. The third photo is the correct dial for my mod. 9.

Buster BeckIn order to "ID" any dial, then you must know/tell where the dial feet are in relation to the minute markers ONLY !!
Slowly revolve the dial around with the dial facing upward where the eye can see the minute marker and the foot as it comes around, rotating it clockwise starting at 1 minute and note each dial foot and which minute marker it is directly above. If it is slightly more than say "17" minutes and it may be middle way between "17" and "18" minutes, which would make that dial foot be at "17.5" minutes, then go on to the next clockwise dial foot, etc.
Here are how 16sz Illinois dials are footed;
8.5/24.5/45.0 fits models 1/2/3
24.5/36.5/55.5 fits models 4/5
17.5/39.0/58.0 fits models 6/7/9/10/14/15
13.5/39.0/58.0 fits model 8
13.0/39.0/58.0 fits model 11/12
13.0/39.0/56.0 fits model 13
