How many revolutions does the Center Wheel make in a 24 hour period?

For those that haven't participated yet, here's a clue:

The minute hand is fitted to the end of the cannon pinion. The cannon pinion is fitted to the center wheel arbor.

Guess it's about time I got around to answering this poll question!

The correct answer is 24 and 55% of you got it right. As you can see in the picture, the minute hand is attached to the cannon pinion which in turn is connected to the center wheel arbor. So, in a 24 hour period, the center wheel makes 24 revolutions.
