Help needed to identify old staff part numbers "Click" to Login or Register

I found a box of tins with staffs in them. I am trying to decipher what the numbers mean. Most of the tins have only a 3 or 4 digit number and fraction. Some also have some reference to a maker. I tried Bestfit, Marshall, and Quick-Fit but can't figure out what the numbers refer to. They don't appear to be related to staff length. Can anyone help?

Thank you Francis! I have a lot more than in the photos so don't bother to look up more for me. Now that you told me the system I should be able to find a Newall catalog here somewhere.
Thanks again,
Mike
