This is my first RR watch.
Serial No. C366289
Case No. R231439
From the table provided in this forum I date it to 1952.
This is exciting stuff. I'll only get my hands on it in a couple of weeks when I get to the US for a vacation. I must say, that I have enjoyed reading through this forum and take my hat off to the experts. Thanks gentlemen.
As far as I can understand it is in a 16 case but when I get some presentable photos I'll post them.
Very poor photos but all I have at the moment
And the insides
Nice Find Irwin!
The inferior images may have helped you get a better deal.
I see the desirable number 379 dial which is a Hamilton Railway Special Marginal Minutes design based on the Montgomery Patent and produced in melamine composition. All three hands look to be correct as well.
One of the most accurate and reliable mechanical watches ever made.
