Lindell V. RiddleHamilton Production Shut-Down Memo
Everyone,
In January of 2003 I came into possession of an interesting original piece of Hamilton history. Dated November 29th 1968 it comes from the files of Joseph C. Brooks, at that time the Hamilton Watch Company Manufacturing Superintendent. Some of that factory tooling referred to in the memo exists today and has surfaced. Perhaps the important historical document we see below will help begin to put details about the end of Hamilton production in perspective. When I acquired this original letter, copies were sent along to several other collectors in hopes it might assist in more comprehensive research.
Every time I read this memo
it brings a lump to my throat.
Lindell
