What are some "general" values for these box sets? I know the condition factor, but where is a good starting point - 400$, 500$, or 600$ if the watch, and box are nice shape?

Thank's Jon,
I've added your posting to the database as Set #30. It's interesting because it is a 1947 set and has a very early Heavy Gothic (MHG) melamine dial.
In decent condition, with a box that is complete & unaltered, all component numbers matching the label, I'd put the retail value at $500-$700, more if the original Hamilton $71.50 price tag is present, up to $900 for exceptionally nice examples, and even more for uncommon dials or cases.
Best Regards,
Ed

Had to pay, but was able to outbid one pesky guy at the auction for the last 6 bids - grrrrrr...
Will get some better pictures soon. The movement and case match the label, but no price label as an extra bonus. However, the little original cloth sack was present.
BTW, it looks like your:
. Mvt C131003 (1945-1946), Case 11 (shoulders) #K071205, Dial HG (added as eBay pictures 10/31/06)(Purchased 5/08/07)
Is the earliest serial # on a movement for brown box

Model #14 case shown as Base Metal. Only one other model #14 case in the list and it is the Nickel Chrome. So they are both correct? [NOTE: Anything without gold content was considered "Base-Metal" in jewelry items. / Lindell ]
