The "changeover" started about 1913-1914 and ran until 1931 when the 3rd model was introduced.

We have volumes of research on the IHC 185 site. When you are wanting "research" go to the top of the main page and on the left side is the "Find-Or-Search" heading. left click on it and a drop down box allows you to type in what you are looking for. In this case you might put in "2nd model 992". Try and keep your request with fewer words and be sure and spell correctly and you will have access to more information than you can shake a stick at !!

regards,
bb

Hmmmmm.....

I put in "2nd model 992" and I get 16 matches here;

Are you positive you are spelling "model" correctly ?? I noticed you are spelling it "modle" in your title and first post.....

It is fairly safe to say that "four-foot-dials" were phased out around the Hamilton movement # 872000 area.
