23-JEWEL HAMILTON 945 IS AN INTERESTING LATER WATCH

The Hamilton 23-Jewel 945 is a "Masterpiece Grade" movement, Hamilton's finest. This one is the 10-size spread to 12-size case, that means it carries a 12-size dial as well. This particular case is listed as "Baldwin" in the 1962 Hamilton catalog. The only difference between this watch and the one designated as "Masterpiece" in the same catalog is case design, but in fact the 23-Jewel movements are identical in every respect.

This is the same quality as a 950B the famous Railroad 23-Jewel of that period and is adjusted to the same 5-positions as RR Grade watches were. Production year was 1962 on this example.
