Hi All
Just picked up a Hamilton 929 hunter. Serial number puts it into the second run of this model 27985. The movement needs a main spring to run. Does anyone have a schematic diagram that shows how to replace the spring. Any tricky things hiding under the barrel plate. Will need the proper main spring and a flat head (blue) plate screw.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.

I know the hunter case is not original, but it is nice. I do need help identifying the maker. Can’t post any pictures, but to start there is an American flag on top them America in a box and to finish is the serial number.

So is this a gold filled case.

The mainspring bridge and mainspring barrel are just like most Hamilton bridges and barrels. Nothing hiding under there to jump out at you. The mainspring is the Hamilton #15 mainspring. Very common mainspring.
