English Watches "Click" to Login or Register
I own a number of English watches. All of the cases are hallmarked for London, Birmingham or Chester. Has anyone seen hallmarks from cities other than these three?

I have seen one watch with a Sheffield hallmark and a few with Dublin hallmarks. All others have been London, Birmingham and Chester

Hi All, Assay Offices were at London,Birmingham,Chester,Sheffield,Exeter,Newcastle,Norwich,Edinburgh,Glasgow,York and Dublin. According to`F J Britten's Handbook, the Sheffield Office was for Silver only.Be rather neat to have a watch marked for each office don't you think?. GED. Smile Smile
