Hi all, doing a bit of 'housekeeping' following a computer disaster, I came across a list of Watchmaker's names that I'd recorded way back in 2002 for a genealogy forum I use.

These were all taken from my own watches at that time.
I have disposed of a few now, but since acquired others and will add those names later as I dig them out.

Nearly all of the names came from English Lever pocket watches, and therefore represented individual watchmaking families.

Even the more well known makers such as Williamson, Kays, Potts etc, were family run concerns bearing the founders' family name.

If anyone has a watch or movement engraved bearing their family name, how about posting it for us all to see.
