Hello Mark

There is not a Qte Boutte pocket watch but you can find Qte Boutte on pocket watch cases and dials!

The Qte or Qté stands for quality(french qualité) and the following name characterizes the kind of quality of watch cases (not movements !)

Arround 1895 some swiss manufacturers agreed upon a system of watch case classification. They named 'qte boutte', 'qte salter' 'qte tobias' and others. Each name stands for a certain finish perfomance or look of watch case, pendant and dial. So there are different watches from different watchmakers with the same writing.

All you can say is watches with the qte ... writing on dial or inner caseback are swiss made arround 1900. I do not know how long this system was in use but i think it endet arround WW1.
