Sheila Gilbert1911 Longines Private Label need information please
First, I won this watch a long time ago, and although it's in parts, it's super clean, and was told that, they think that all of the parts are there. Of course, I have no idea.
Can you help with these questions?
1. Does anyone know this "private label" name?
J.H.D. Codere Sherbrooke PQ (Canada) on the Movement, and J.H.D. Codere Sherbrooke, Que. on the Dial.
2. Do you "THINK" that all of the parts below are ALL that is needed to put this watch back together?
3. Where can I get more information on vintage Longines watches?
Longines, 17J, SN 2673922.
Thank you, (picture to follow)

Anthony CrisciHello Sheila
From the photo assuming that all is intact inside the watch then yes that's all the parts you need to complete that movement but I cannot tell for certain if the parts are for that watch or that they are OK either. I would guess that the balance wheel was removed and not replaced for a reason. That the parts match are also important and there should be a few numbers stamped on the balance bridge that matches the last few of the movements number. From it's number, that movement was made about 1911.
1911 2,500,000
1912 2,750,000
Here is a good place to start for Longines information in general
http://s89500954.onlinehome.us/Longines/e/home.htmlMore then this I need to leave up to those more knowing of Longines Pocket watches
and Canadian Jewelers then I am but if I learn more I will let you know.
