Hi all, I 've been wodering if anyone would have any info on Rotherham & Sons watches.I've heard of them, but have never seen one.Did they make high or low grade watches, and when were they in business?....Thanks! Ted Brown.

According to Loomes, Rotherham & Sons, Coventry (Warx) Founded by Samuel Vale in 1747, became Vale, Howlett, Carr 1754-90, then Vale, Howlett, Carr & Rotherham, then in 1842 Richard Kevitt Rotherham & Sons 1850-1932.

From memory, Rotherhams made some quite decent watches. I've sold off a few over recent years, but will have a root through my stuff and see if I've any movements left. If I have, they'll most likely be English lever types.
