Has anyone ever heard of a Lancet pocket watch? "Click" to Login or Register

It is a 12s and has a dial exactly like an Elgin that I have. It has a 7 jewel movement which doesn't look like an Elgin movement. Does it have any socially redeeming value? I have a chance to buy it, but I don't know if I could ever get parts for it if it's not a house brand made by a major manufacturer.

Thanks for any info, Jim

As far as I know, Lancet was a trade name of the Swiss Langendorf company. It may have also been used at some point by the Swiss Didisheim firm.

I have seen this name on the dials of Swiss, wire-lug, wristwatches of WWI vintage. The little wristwatches were of average quality. Nothing special.

It does not sound like a valuable pocket watch.

Best regards,
Greg

Jim,

There is a Lancet Watch by Marvin currently on Ebay. It looks to be a 12s. How does yours compare?

I have either a OOO or O size Ladies Watch.

No big deal!

Thanks for the information guys. I should have known with it being only 7 jewels.

I think I'll pass on the "opportunity".

Regards, Jim
