Yes, those ads are great! They liked to rough it up with each other. I have an 1890 Hampden ad where he describes the other companies as WATCH SHARKS and cautions the buyers to get real value from him.
I can't scan it in as it is in poor shape and dirty enough to possibly damage my new scanner, but you get the idea.

I especially like the first ad, the simplicity of that message ranks right up there with "Smokestack Jewels" in my opinion.
