OK first I would like to apologize for being on the dumb side when it comes to Ball Watches (and many others). I have an opportunity to purchase a Ball Hamilton 16s 23j with 5 adjustments. It has Official Standard with a round gold inlay emblem that looks to be RR (for railroad I'm sure). I have attracted a 2 picture one of the movement and other of the face. The watch looks very nice to me and I am very interested in it. I have tried to research this in my Complete Price Guide to Watches. I am wondering what it is worth. It appears to be somewhere in the range of $1000.00. I'm not a Donald Trump so for me that is a lot of money. Plus, if my girl friend, wife, mistress, and the golden find out I am spending a grand on a pocket watch I will be divorce, dumped, and bitten.
I would greatly appreciate the assistance of those that are all knowing. From past experience you all without a doubt you all are all knowing. Thank you and have a great day. Sorry to bother you all.

Hi Rich, if you're going to get in trouble for something don't let it be this watch. First off the case is incorrect, Second the hands are wrong, third the barrel plate is missing one screw, and one of the two remaining screws is incorrect. I'll stop there, wait for a better example to take heat for. regards, Joe
