This old Waltham has a story to tell , according to the Estate this came from the owner of this watch was struck by lightning while sitting in an outdoor toilet. It happened in the year 1908 in Deeth Nevada. I do not know if the story is true but I am researching it by looking for old Nevada newspaper articles from the 1908 period.
It appears the lightning hit the face of the watch , the dial has major damage , the movement is blackened ( probably from the oil frying) as is the case , actually I think it could be repaired ! ( I am leaving it as is for sure )
I wonder if the poor soul survived it ?
One thing for sure it scared the you know what out of him!
