This one is tough...I got the 21J version awhile back now the 24J version of the Grade 64 shows up.

Perfect dial, wadsworth pilot recase nice.

Guy told me this grade was preferred by old man Anderson, was his favorite.

At any rate, looks to be in a run of twenty, were all 20 AN Anderson? Was this the entire allotment of 24 Jewel Grade 64 Andersons? I do not know, maybe someone here does. It's a beauty:

This is a consignment watch, much as I'd like to own it I cannot at this time. Please email me if any interest

Or better yet just call me 618-423-9709

Tom,

My information shows as three runs were made of this 24 jewel Hunter for a total of 70. The first 2 runs, 20 and 25, were marked as AN Andersons and the last run was not. Very nice looking watch however. So what's the price?

Sorry to butt into the conversation, but I don't recognize that movement. Who's the manufacturer?

Hi Damien,
I don’t think anyone would consider your question as butting in, that’s what were here for. Oh, the watch in question is a high grade Illinois made for A.N. Anderson.

That is one beautiful watch! The fancy Roman numeral dial makes it for me. I wonder how rare such dials are and how much they might add to the value of the watch? What's that dial worth?

As a private label watch, I suppose the buyer could order any dial design they wanted?

Mike;

My 21J example has an arabic dial. This watch was about 1898, so I don't know what dial options were offered if any, or if Mr. Anderson preferred
this dial. I know of one other 24 Jewel version like this in this area, I'll try to find out the serial # and see how close and if it's from the same run of 20 and which dial is on it.
Interesting stuff to say the least!
