Joey HammElgin 17 Jewel Display Back
Nothing special, Elgin grade 387 that was in very poor shape. The worst thing was someone had opened the case with what appeared to be a screwdriver. The movement is now in display case and turned out really nice. In my limited amount of time collecting, I have found it to be amazing what people can do to a pocket watch...

Joey HammThanks for the kind comments. I am not a watchmaker by any means, but it is amazing how people can think a screwdriver would be the best tool to open a watch.

Mark CrossThose are the same folks who sell them stating ‘watch runs but you can’t set the hands’, not knowing about lever set movements.
