Thought I would share a few photos of a very interesting pocket watch I have just serviced, a model 1860 Waltham with vibrating hairspring stud, I also made a “You Tube” video of it so you can see it working.

The incredibly intuitive "Breguet Bend" that leads to a fixed hairspring stud and did the same thing in such a simple manner shows where so many different answers were being developed in parallel to solve the issues of accurate timekeeping. Let the best way win!
