Waltham 92 model 17 jewel non magnetic
Here`s my 92 model made in 1896. Another nice looking 92 with a white hairspring to help with its non magnetic properties.
I read somewhere that the full description was :
model 1892
name 45
grade Riverside
I`m not sure what the "name 45" indicates.
Its a hunting movement with a conversion dial to make an acceptable open face model.
The book value is considerably lower than the normal 17j Riverside 92 model ---- not sure why that should be.

Nice rare Waltham, made even nicer by the factory conversion dial! The '92 model Riverside is rare, this Non magnetic should be even rarer. The book values make no sense at all sometimes. Thanks for showing such a nice Waltham.

The Individualy Hand-Stamped S/N says something very interesting about this variant. Waltham was known to pull from production and make "specials" for visiting dignitaries, customers and so forth. I recall that about this same period (1895) Waltham did make some Non-Magnetic watches for the illustrious holder of "Paillard's Patent".
