What Movement is Correct for Hamilton Cross Bar Case

Hi,
I have a chart that shows the correct movement for Hamilton Factory Cases but I can't verify if it is complete. Can someone tell me what movements would have been factory cased for the Hamilton Cross Bar case.

Information indicates a 992 and a 996 would be correct. How about a 950? Should that be included?

Not necessarily correct for any of them, dependent on the date of manufacture of the movement, as I think (stand to be corrected by someone much more knowledgeable) the Crossbar Hamilton case did not come into existence until around 1924.

Richard in addition to the 992 and 996, some 950's were sold in the crossbar (RR) case in 1925 & 1926.

I agree with Robert about the ever-popular Case 2 use in the first 2 years of production.

Additionally, the 992, 992 Elinvar, 950, 950 Elinvar, 992B and even a few 950B were in their production years available in the Case 2 and other Hamilton factory cases depending upon the production time-frame and other specifics. If you have a specific movement number, case number and style of case we can help line them up for you.

The case 2 was Hamilton's most popular factory-case, available from 1925 through 1953 production.

Interestingly, many collectors are unaware the Grade 950 was available to retailers as movement only from the time of introduction circa 1909 through the end of production in 1936 so we will at times find a 950 in an after-market cases although collectors prefer them housed in a Hamilton-Marked Case.

if you want to know more about the specific "Cross-Bar" case which was introduced in 1924 as you will see below and phased out by 1928 it is fair to say that any Hamilton Railroad Movement, that would be 992, 950 and 996 could have been available in that case although the vast majority of the "Cross-Bar" model cases held Grade 992 Movements and usually collectors like what you see in the advertisement appended below this posting.

Each of the Wadsworth-Hamilton Bar-Over-Crown cases were shipped housing Railroad Grade movements.
