Ronald Greigthe pendent is very hard to pull out and I don't want to force it any ideas.

Claude GriffithI have found some pendant sets that from a lack of service and or a dirty or rusty stem/sleeve getting the pendant to pull out is difficult at best. Sometimes I will pull while rotating the crown and see if I can slip a bit of oil down the stem and once you can get the pendant to pop up remove the movement and remove any excess oil so that it does not go doing into the movement itself.

Paul D. TrombleySome are just sticky for not having been operated in a long time.
Part of my routine is to break down the crown, stem and sleeve. Clean, lube and reassemble.
Frequently, I find a lip or ledge on the detente the sleeve has to ride over when the stem is pulled up to the "set" position. Or, the detente is simply far more aggressive than it needs to be in height or angle.
I've taken to chucking the stems up on my lathe, reshaping the detente with a jewelers file and polishing the detente it with 2000 grit sand paper wrapped around a file or stir stick.
