Mike HodgeCheshire watch interest?
A shop in my town has an 18s, Cheshire in a pretty nice case. SN is 71672, and it appears to have a low jewel count. Is anyone interested in these watches? I do not have a photo, but could probably get one for a potential sale. The watch runs, has a Cheshire dial and is in nice condition.

Those are all one star or above, do you know what they were asking for it?
I might be interested, the only one I have had been burned up in a fire.

Tom BruntonWhen I read "Cheshire Watch Interest" for just a second I hoped the story was of a watch belonging to one of my great heroes Group Captain Leonard Cheshire VC, one of the Royal Air Force's greatest bomber pilots in WW2 , and I was a bit disappointed it wasn't , but it at least got me to read and acquire some knowledge of the Cheshire Watch Co, which was I guess always in my books but overlooked by me

and now I'm a bit better educated 68 year old bird !!!

Mike HodgeI stopped by the shop today and suggested I make Bob's email available to anyone interested. I don't know if that is an appropriate use of this forum, so, I'll just contact those who ask for it and they can contact the shop. Bob will send photos to interested parties. This way I stay out of it as I will be gone a few weeks anyhow. I will have email. Again, my motivation for this is simply to alert folks to an unusual, rare, 1 star watch. I have no financial link. Email me if you wish to contact Bob.

Mike HodgeWhen I spoke with him this afternoon he indicated someone told him it would do real well on ebay. We will see. I thought he was asking top dollar according to the price guide. He may, or may not, have made a wise decision. I am sorry for having gone to the trouble since he knew I was showing it for sale here. Oh well, tomorrow's another day.

Tom BrownNo problem Mike, I think he probably thinks he can get more on ebay, more power to him.
Thanks again
