Hunter cased newly aquired
I picked up a couple HC Watches recently and thought the cases were exceptional. What do you think?

Nice Mike. I have always liked the 3 finger bridge. Very nice case on the 975 also.

Very nice Mike, very little loss of detail on the last 2.

Best Regards,

Ed

Thanks, Yes Ed. The last two are very close to being "like new", and the first had less detail to begin with but it has sustained more wear as well. I am trying to accumulate nice hunters as they are disappearing quickly. I think I can't get hurt if I get them right...but who knows?

Mike I tend to be open to picking up hunters and if you look in the 7-17j range sometimes you can pick up some nice winners. Finding good 18s version is harder and harder to come by but in the 12-16s some very nice ones pop up.

Yes Claude, I seem to find similar experience. If you find a no-account 7j in a nice hunter case you can always put in a nicer movement. One thing I find is that a lot of them are Pendant set. I hate to cut a lever unless I need to so I keep looking for LS as well.

Not to say I have not been guilty of that (putting something like an Elgin grade 156 in this)
