Geoff HardyMontgomery Dial??
Is this a true Montgomery dial or not? I have never seen one with all the minute numbers pointing at the centre of the dial.
Any info appreciated.

Ed UeberallNo, technically it is not a Montgomery dial, because of two things Montgomery specified on his dials that are not right on this example.
1. Upright (rather than radial) minute markers.
2. Printing of the sixth hour on the dial. This dial lacks the numeral "6" in the seconds bit.
These dial are more properly called "numerical minute" dials. They were made with a number of slightly differing details, but the main reason for their existance was to avoid paying Mr. Montgomery patent royalties for the use of "his" design.
