Another one I picked up today super clean all over but was disappointed when I got home and looked at it closer. The winding wheel tends to lift up a little after several winds causing the click not to hold properly and mainspring unwinding. Anyone know what that might be. I thought maybe the three little screws were loose but they seemed tight. I might just have to break down and send it off to be fixed since I paid good money for it thinking it was all good.

Robert V. JonesCould the problem be that the mainspring barrel seperated. I hate to send it off if it is a simple repair. Problem is I am in the middle of moving and most everything is still packed somewhere.

Eugene BuffardIt most likely need a new mainspring.

Robert V. JonesI do not think it is the mainspring. It appears the winding wheel or whatever it mounts to is loose causing it to lift after a certain amount of pressure causing the click not to hold it any longer thus freespins or unwinds if you do not have a hold of the crown. I thought maybe the mainspring barrel seperated causing it to be a little loose.

Jared BrinkerRob-
The barrel is probably snapped shut tight. What is probably wrong is the winding wheel is not seated properly to the barrel and so it sticks up a little too high. I have had this issue before on these 60hr bunns as it is hard to get it lined up perfectly to do it. the screws will be tight too and so you don't notice it.
Thanks,
Jared

Samie L. SmithRob nice watch the problem is a easy fix the, parts of the barrel arbor asembly if not installed right will cause the problem you have.
