My latest 12 size deal
I wanted to show everyone that these 12 size pocket watch deals that Robert Schussel continues to speak of are still out there on Ebay. I just received this sweetie today and I am very happy with what I received. It is a Hampden thin model, model 6 17 jewel Minute Man in the original Hampden solid 14K green gold case. These Hampden thin models are seldom seem in their factory custom case, it is even more difficult to find them in a 14k solid gold case. You will often see these movements for sale because the cases have long ago been melted down.

It came with a nice period chain that when inspected once it arrived revealed to be solid 10K yellow gold. The chain weights 8.2 penny weights so according to my math would be about $134 in gold at today price.

Total paid on Ebay for both with shipping. $210.00

Enjoy the photos,

John

As you know I have a soft spot for 12 size Hampden--you got a great value. As others have said you don't see many of these watches in 14kt cases. Originally they sold for $85 to $125 in a 14kt case.

Below is a 19j Paul Revere up for sale on Ebay in a 14kt case. The bow is a replacement. If anyone is interested please let me know.
