Jerry TreimanVery nice, Charlie. It is a grade 315, but I have no idea how many of these had a two-tone finish like yours. The other two-tone Elgins that come to mind are the "Transit" (grade 345)and the "Elite" (grades 383 & 384).

Samie L. SmithCharles here is my 2 tone Elgin a 18s auctullay it measures 17 size ,i took this picture when i frist bought the watch ,,the watch now has a jewel instead of that brass bushing you see in this picture.
Maybe not rare but (preety) this one has found a home here in Kentucky.

Tom HuberSamie, Your watch appears to be a normal model 5 18S Elgin. Elgin made a 17S, but tey were early keywinds. What leads you to believe it is 17S? Inquiring minds what to know.

Robert V. JonesTHought I would post a picture of my two tone since they do not seem to be as popular as other two tone movements.

Robert SchusselMy newly discovered 12 size Hampden grade--327.
--see below
What is most unusual about the movement is that it is the first two tone 12 size Hampden anyone has ever seen.
My questions are:
-has anyone seen other two tone 12 size Hampdens?
-why are 12 size two tone movements relatively uncommon ?

Robert V. JonesSamie I should have started a new thread and named it an Elgin for Samie

You would have to find someone who could change out the balance jewel though it is broken.

John ArrowoodHere's a 12-size Waltham two-tone. Looks nondescript on the outside, white rgp case, metal dial. There is no wear-through on the case.

John ArrowoodHere's the movement, the decoration is not as elaborate as that on some of the earlier posts.
