Mike HodgeNo jewel count marked on this Hamilton 931
I've owned this 931 for about a year now and while browsing through some photos i noticed it is not marked as to jewel count. Is this unusual?

Buster BeckI don't think that it is unusual Mike....
Since the few that are marked,
Are 17J watches.
The unmarked ones are all 16J watches

There were a TP of 4000 of the 931's made.
They started making them in 1894 with serial no. 3001.
And the last one made was in 1899 with serial no. 48000.
Yours was finished and shipped 3/14/1899.

bb

Mike HodgeThanks Buster. I look deep into my memory

and I see my 928s and I don't think they were marked either. I have my collection in Oregon in the bank and only photos and notes of some of those.

Buster BeckThat would be correct Mike as none of the 928's were marked. They were all 15J watches.
There first serial # was 18,001 in 1895 and the last one was # 112,000 finished in 1899 and sold in 1900. There was a TP of 4997 units made.
