Another Elgin 280 - S.N. 10246152
Just received this 280, don't know when it was last serviced, but it's fairly clean and runs well.

Dave everything from the front looks correct, dial and hand type and the movement looks very clean. Nice looking case, these were/are very high grade 17j movement and are not all that common (8000 made)and at the time were Elgin's top of the line lever set version RR watch being the smaller brother to the 270. Elgin had most of its RR watches concentrated in the 18s area and got behind in the 16 size lever set grades until the 37X grades came out.

Thanks for the comments guys.
The case is an Alert. Which came with a grade 313 and a broken staff.
