Elliot's Special RR
Hi all,
just got my newest and thought you might like to see it. Not to mention I do not know what the movement is, but it 17j adj, and has this spectacular cdn rr dial. I have not seen a dial like this, that has the 17 - 18 and 19 missing on the 24 hr dial. My first thought was that they had been washed out, but upon real close inspection they are not, nor ever have been there.
Also the fact that it is a private Label from Medicine Hat Alta is intriquing.
Any help with the ID of the movement would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill,

The movement is definitely Swiss...and a good grade at that. The whip spring for the regulator is missing but perhaps someone here can find you a replacement. The dial is really nice with it's giant seconds bit! Looks like it's running well.

Good luck and Happy Holidays.

William

Hi William,
Thanks for the input, I thought it might be swiss, as it seems a lot of the private label canadian ones were. I have tried to compare it to a gallet I have and a regins (omega) i have, and there are several differences there. It appears to be running quite well, hasn't lost time over night anyway. I will look for the whip spring when i can definitely id the movement.
Information and help is really outstanding in this forum,
Thanks,
Bill

Hi Larry,
I was hoping you would see these pics.
I will surely post them on that forum.
Thanks for the kind words, as I always buy these things not really knowing, but they catch my eye.
Bill
