Ralph HopperDual time zone hands on a RR watch
In my limited time in this, I have only seen dual time zone hands that were set for a one hour difference since that makes most sense to me I wonder why there would be hands set two hours apart. There is a Hamilton on eBay with this at the moment.
Since you could not pass through two time zones all that quickly on a train, why would the hour hands be set two hours apart?
I have not seen this kind of hand set in person so are the two hour hands 'fixed' or are they moveable relative to each other?
Thanks

Mark CrossThe hour hands are moveable.
I recently read when railroaders were assigned in areas with only one time zone, they would move one hand under the other so the watch would only show one time zone.
So, I think the last time your watch was serviced, the hands were just positioned too far apart.
