John J. Flahive III2007 Price Guide Update on 950B RRS Dials
I got my 2007 Complete Price Guide to Watches in the mail from Lindell and Debbie this week. What a deal! For around $30 (including shipping) you get the price guide and a nice, protective plastic cover. Do a search on eBay for the guide and they will have the lowest price.
Anyway, I was very pleased to see an acknowledgement on page 228 that the 23J Railway Special dials add $500 to a 950B price. Way to go Cooksey! These dials (and cases and hands) are really the devil in the details wrt pricing.
Nice to see "The Guide" keeping up with the times. Next year maybe the Big 5 Bunn Special dials can be added as well.

Peter S. BalkanThink so? Take a look at Illinois cases...unchanged for years now. According to the Guide, $500 will buy you a virtually new 173 two-tone! I sent Paul Gilbert $6000 and ordered a dozen! :-)

John J. Flahive IIIPeter,
You are right, there is still much more to be done. The same 23J RRS dial mentioned on page 228 as adding $500 to the cost of a 950B in the footnote lists for $100 in mint on the top of page 234. So much for consistency...
Anyway, I just wanted to acknowledge some progress in the right direction. Let's stay positive and we will continue to see improvements!
