992 pendant set???
Did Hamilton make any standard 992's that were pendant set. I was writing descriptions and went to try and set this watch and noticed there was no pendant. I removed the movement and seen there was no sign of a lever so I checked it with a bench winder and sure enough it set by pendant. I then thought maybe it was mismatched parts but all the designs line up. Any input on these. I know they made 950 pendant set watches but never come across a 992. The book only recalls the RR service being pendant set.

I have a repro catalog from Benj Allen Co in Chicago from 1916 that shows both model 992's the lever set movement was priced at 32.50 and the pendant set movement was priced at 30.00. Jeff

Thanks I guess I just never came across one before. Strange with all the watches I have handled. Learn something new everyday. Thanks again

Is it safe to assume that the pendant set versions were NOT railroad approved?
