Bila Wirriganwaltersre: Waltham 1872 question
Does anyone know if there was a paticular serial number run that the 16s Model 1872 Walthams with the square roller jewel were produced within or were they spread out across various production runs?
Best Regards to All,
Bila

Bila WirriganwaltersDefinately a square roller jewel Gene, a few of these were made with it, as well as some models having the Sawtooth balnace & square roller jewel. Just interested in how many were made and what serial number range they might have been in, thats if they weren't randomly done through-out the 1872 model' serial number range.

Bila WirriganwaltersAlso I forgot to mention that they had "Woerds Patent" engraved under the balance.

Harold VisserGenerally speaking, the earlier the production date, the more likely the chance of a square roller jewel. It's not possible to pin down a certain run or serial number with regard to a square roller jewel or many other features on a 72. Small numbers produced over a long timespan meant many small varations over the years. It's one of the reasons collecting 72's is so rewarding.
