Rare but Inexpensive
While I have been advertising the virtues of 16 size 23 jewel Hampdens I couldn't resist picking up this rare 16 size Hampden--a 17j Model Grade 97 Hunter for $93.00.

There appears to be only one run with 1,000 reserved serial numbers.

Great find Bob, which reflects the kind of bargains that today's market affords the buyers of Hampden watchers.

Thanks!

My recent experience is that Rail Road watches are much more likely to have been abused by amateur watchmakers than the the 12 size watches I tend to collect. And "running" condition has not prevented some potentially costly repairs but this one runs well.

There are some amazing bargains in Hampdens. They made great watches and hopefully others will start to appreciate them.
