Barbie watch
Many of us have oddball parts which we will never, or rarely use. Some have the potential to end up as a "Frankenwatch" since all the damascened plates are there.

But this movement presents a different solution, since the damascening on the missing barrel bridge will never be found. Therefore, the"Barbie watch" with a different barrel bridge for each occasion!

The funny thing is that's exactly what Waltham did with the CPR stuff. They were Model 83s with the Appleton Tracy pattern on the train bridge, but with a different pattern on the barrel plate alongside the beaver and CPR logo - and those mismatched watches command big bucks.

One of Larry Buchan's examples:

Peter, there's no such thing as a Ken pocket watch. Barbie got them all, in the settlement. Smile
